I am not an Apple person but got the Apple iPod touch 8 GB 4th Generation best price model as a gift. At first I didn't bother with it, then I started buying music from iTunes...then I started downloading podcasts...then I started streaming movies and television shows with my Netflix membership...and now I am in love with this handy little device. I can listen to music, watch movies and quickly browse the web or check email on my Android phone, but the battery saps instantly. The Apple iPod touch 8 GB 4th Generation best price battery life is incredible by comparison. I never thought a gadget that does not make phone calls could be so darned useful. Only problem is that I am already close to filling up the 8GB with all my music, podcasts, etc. I would buy higher capacity but did not have a choice since it was a present.

I purchased this Apple iPod touch 8 GB for my grandson who has wanted one for a very long time. I am raising him on a fixed income all alone. I chose Apple iPod touch 8 GB from Amazon because I have ordered other items in the past and never had a problem. Well when he opened the Apple iPod touch 8 GB on Christmas morning he was so happy and excited. But on the second day all of a sudden when he went to unplugged it from being charged the night before it was totally dead. It wouldn't come on. I also chose Amazon because being retired and on a fixed income the price was $50 cheaper than anywhere else. It was supposed to be new but I'm wondering if it was refurbished. Amazon the only way to return it was if I had the orginal packaging. Well, it was Christmas morning and everything was hectic and somehow the orginal packaging got thrown out. So needless to say my grandson now has an Apple iPod touch 8 GB touch that sometimes comes on and sometimes now and I am out $250.00. I do not reccomend the purchase of this itme. Will never order again from Amazon.

This case by speck, is definitely worth the money. It fits the ipod perfectly, it has a nice grip, and feels sturdy enough to take a fall because of it's extra thick corners. It does not add much bulk to the touch so it's still looks cool in your hands.My suggestion on this product is if you don't have a case buy this, if you have one, consider buying this one, you will not regret this purchase.

I still wouldn't want to drop the ipod -- this is not a hard case (they're pretty bulky), but this slim rubber case protects from minor bumps and feels good in the hand. There is absolutely NO reason to buy this case unless you plan on navigating solely using shuffle and never adjusting your volume. I say this because despite its sleek design, good fit, and excellent protection (which lured me in), it manages to protect the click wheel a little too well with a too thick piece of silicone that NEVER LETS YOU USE IT! I can't stress this enough, the click wheel's scroll functions become useless after you put this case on. While this might be good for people who are using the nano when exercising or something and don't need to adjust volume or scroll through songs, it simply doesn't work for anyone else. Honestly I can't imagine how this could have made it past quantity control... The whole issue could have easily been fixed by using a thinner section in that area or just not having it there like many other cases. The saddest part is however that the exact reason I chose this case over others was because it WAS there, and I thought it would serve to provide better protection to the most used area of the player. So don't be like me, find another case that doesn't have that critical area covered or settle for a skin. I wish my old skin hadn't torn when I was taking it off to put this on :(

- I love this product overall. But can only give 4 stars because of some minor issues. PROS: - Instant FM transmission upon turning ON - Very strong signal that sounds great but the highs (treble sounds) are bit dampened - full function remote that lets you navigate the menus, fast-forward, rewind, skip, shuffle songs, etc. - lets you charge cell phone or other device via the USB port - Holds your iPod in place nicely - Has ability to connect to audio sources other than iPod - although without remote functionality CONS: - May not fit outlets that are recessed - doesn't fit my wife's car - an extension arm would have taken care of it - The plug is held together with a tiny screw and nut that can come lose easily. However, if you leave it plugged in all the time, you should be OK. You can remove your iPod from the unit while it's plugged in. - The remote died after just a few weeks of use. I'm assuming the remote came with a bad battery. I will post my experiences (if notable) after replacing the battery. BOTTOMLINE: I have used a few other FM transmitters and this BY FAR has the best performance and features. The PROs greatly outweigh the CONs. I would say if it fits your car and you leave it plugged in all the time or are careful with the screw assembly, this is a must buy. Enjoy and keep your eyes on the road while driving.

-- I bought this for my brother-in-law who just turned 16. Unlike other FM transmitters this product has the added bonus of functioning as a stand for the iPod and it also has a remote control so it's safer than having to fumble around with the iPod itself. The charger function is also helpful especially if you have a phone such as a Razr that charges on a USB dock. There are many devices like this on the market, but I like this one the best because it has a remote and it looks cool. I have bought two more of these as Christmas gifts and I plan to buy more.

What's in the BoxBlack Jam Jacket for iPod touch

- The jamb jacket fits the iPod Touch like a glove. As the other reviewer said the raised corners offer a lot of protection if the iPod is dropped on a corner. I can't say how the ear buds fit in the holder on the rear because I use the Bose ear buds and have put away the ones form Apple. When trying to put on the surface shield, I noticed that there were specks of dust between the shield and glass screen that was creating air bubbles. I used a piece of Scotch tape and removed the dust from the "sticky" side of the surface shield. After removing the dust the shield went on fine with no bubbles. The touch screen works great with the shield.

-- This is a great case for my IPOD Touch and I'm enjoying it quite immensely. First, it looks great! Second, it provides ample amounts of protection and even comes with a very nice screen protector, which is absolutely essential for your Touch. I'll use it and enjoy it. What are the downsides? First, the form factor may not allow you to slide it into your car mount or holder. The case has a device mounted on the back for you to wind your earbuds around so they don't become tangled. Works great, but may get in the way if you want to use a car mount. Also, the device works great to wind your earbud cable and has cutouts to store the earbuds themselves. Unfortunately, the cutouts are the size of the Apple provided earbuds and do not work with my Sennheisers. Nevertheless, it nice to have something to neatly wind the cable around, so it's not a showstopper for me!

-Great sonic bang for the buck
I've used this unit for approx. a month now. The sturdy case travels well, although it gets a second look from the security folks at the airport scanner. The charging cord and worldwide adaptor are well-designed and fit nicely into the case when closed. It would've been nice to include enough room for the iPod as well. The system is great for the hotel room or camping trip and if you're realistic about the expected sound quality from a pair of 2" drivers, you'll be pleasantly surprised. In addition to the 2" drivers, it has a pair of what Logitech calls "pressure drivers", actually passive radiators that really help push out the bass. The surround sound button adds that extra wide sound, but it's not appropriate for every recording. Logitech ships a set of plastic inserts to accomodate EVERY iPod out there. I have the 80GB classic video, and it docks nicely, although you don't want to bump it too hard or you may damage the connector. The fold out legs with rubber feet make it stable. The 3.5mm AUX line in is nice for those other audio sources. Battery life is decent, but don't expect it to pound out the tunes all weekend w/o a recharge. In the hotel or at home, just plug it in and you'll have tunes as long as you need them, and it'll charge the iPod while docked. The included remote is really handy, well laid out and has a good range. The Altec Lansing and Bose units sound better, but are much bulkier and definitely pricier. All in all a good improvement to the MM50 system for the money.

--Good for the orice and size
I use these speakers in hotel rooms while traveling with an iPod Classic 160GB. (I have also tested my iPod TOuch and an iPhone, all work with no problems and dock adapters are included). In my opinion, the sound is very good for the size. Don't expect this to rival your home stereo or much larger speaker systems, there's just not a ton of bass or very great highs, which is to be expected from a single, small active driver. Given that there is only one driver though, the sound quality is quite amazing. There's a certain 'coherency' that comes from having one driver which just catches your ear, and this system brings that out. The passive driver helps with providing decent bass response, in my comparison the best in systems of this size. I find sound quality best when I place the system on a desk or nightstand at least 12" back from the edge. I listen for hours without getting that feeling of being worn out by bad sound.

The remote mostly works well, but there does seem to be a slight delay between pushing buttons on the remote and when the function on the iPod is carried out, I would guess about 1/2 second in some cases. Not a big deal when you get used to it. The volume control when used from the remote seems to be quite sensitive. This remote allows you to operate all functions of the iPod using the remote, which is a nice feature, assuming you're able to read the iPod screen from accross the room.

There's a 3.5mm (little) headphone jack on the back to which you can plug in another device. I often use this to plug in my laptop, as these speakers are superior to my laptop speakers. by a landslide. (The cable is not included but only costs a few dollars at Amaon or BestBuy)

If you want to use your iPod as an alarm clock, you can use this device as your speaker. I have found that in order for that to work reliably it does need to be plugged in to power. After your iPod has been off for a few minutes, the speakers will power down, but they will automatically power back up when your iPod starts playing a song as a result of an alarm. (This is a feature that has been added since the MM-50, which was the previous model on which this did not work)

The power adapter is small and has a convenient holder to wrap the cord around. With cord and all, it will fit in the well for the iPod when traveling, and the whole combination, complete with remote, will fit in the included fairly small travel case. (With the predecessor MM-50 the power supply would not store in the case)

The functions on the remote have been greatly extended since the MM-50, now you can control anything your iPod can do. The price you pay to do this is the loss of the iPod doc connector at the back of the unit. It used to be possible to plug the audio/video cable in the back of the MM-50, then use the video output to connect to a monitor or TV. Since this connector is not there on this model, you can no longer do that. (Probably for most people this is not a big loss since they simply use the speakers in the TV)

The power meter showing battery level is quite useful. It also has an indicator to let you know when outlet power is plugged in, this is useful so you know for sure the internal battery is charging. The claimed battery life of 10 hours is a bit on the optimistic side, of course a lot depends on how loud you play the unit. My experience has been between 3 and 7 hours.

While the unit is plugged in, the iPod or iPhone that's connected will be charged. While the unit is running on battery, they will NOT be charged. So make sure you have both your speakers and your iPod charged!

I picked this unit after listening to and trying about 30 of them, based on ease of use, travel size, sound quality and its ability to take an input from my laptop. I travel about half the year so it gets frequent use and is carried in carry-on on a plane at least once a week. So far, it has lived and continues to work well.

---I like this product because:

1. It allows me to tightly secure the band on my arm and I don't get slippage.
2. At the risk of being called a 'wimp' (6 feet 162 lbs), I have no problem with the band being too snug.
3. It is easy to get the player in and out of the holder but it is secure and snug once it is in.
4. I can adjust the volume and select songs on the go.

My issues with the band...

1. The plastic they have used for the outer protective layer of the holder is so thick that the nano usually doesn't respond when you try to use the wheel to control volume. It takes quite a bit of messing with to get it to work. Sometimes I have to remove the iPod to make the wheel respond to my touch. That can be really frustrating and now that I've had the band for a few months, I find it more and more annoying.

2. The metal part of the band that you thread the band through is too narrow. The result is that the velcro catches on the metal and makes it very difficult to thread. Little by little, the velcro is starting to tear off the band because the metal catches the edge every time you put it on. Why couldn't they have used hard plastic with rounded edges instead of a metal piece with sharp edges?

--Great Product for Jogging and Running. I have used it to setup mi nike+ accessory. However one drawback is that it doesn't have a slot to put on my nike+ accessory or to connect the USB Cable. I have to use the iPod Nano upsidedown in order to work with the nike plus or to recharge without taking it out of the case.

However, this is a minor problem. I think this is a good product

It has a reflective band around the ipod that reflects light when pointed at. (GREAT)

---The construction on the armband is top notch. The neoprene is comfortable and it is easy to slip your nano in and out, while being quite snug, so you don't have to worry about it slipping out accidentally. The only problem is that it doesn't fit my arm, really. I don't think that my arms are bigger than a normal guys, so I would recommend this product for women, and runners, who are normally pretty slim. If you have average sized arms for a man, it may be extremely snug, or may not fit at all. Kind of wished I would have know there was a size limit before I bought it and opened it, so hopefully this will help those of you who are thinking of purchasing it. That was the only drawback that I could see, but it is a big drawback, it if prevents you from using the product.

Along with the car charger adapter (which comes with a "roll-up" cord), I also bought the plug-in wall adapter, and the AV cable to watch ipod movies on TVs at the same time, from the same vendor. The whole deal, including shipping was under ..... I saw a similar package at ....

I gave it a 4 because the plastic covering appears cheap, and it seems to get warm after charging for a while, but it works great (also applies to the wall charger). For it's price though, I could buy 10 or more of these before I spend as much as the Apple brand.

I bought these headphones to replace my Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones. I like these better for one two reasons
1) completely superficial reason - it matches my black ipod
2) completely non superficial reason - it's better for my hearing

I typcially keep the sound on my ipod locked at 75% to minimize damage to my ears. With these JBuds I don't have to take that precaution, because I never have to raise the volume up that high. And I listen to my ipod chiefly going back and forth on the subway in D.C., where it can be pretty difficult to block out the sound of the train. I'm really glad I bought them.

Two words of caution, however. First, I don't think the sound is as good as it was with the Sony headphones. I listen mostly to podcasts and audiobooks, though, so it doesn't affect me much. Also, I'm not an audiophile so my standards aren't that high. Secondly, I've gone through 3 pairs of these types of headphones due to the rubber tips falling off. While I prefer these type of headphones to other in-ear phones (I've got small ears, and other types hurt), this is getting pretty aggravating. So electronic companies? Work on that.

While these JBUDS did not, in a side by side comparison, provide as much surrounding, warm sound as my Sennheiser 212 headphones, they provided excellent clarity, especially on KJAZZ radio. Talk formats are also excellent. The comfort is surprisingly good for an in-ear bud. For 20 dollars, this is a great substitute for the cheaper buds that come with most MP3 players.
I've come to be more impressed with my JBuds over the last two weeks, marvelling at the bright, crisp, and yes, warm sound that comes out of these inexpensive buds. Perhaps, as I've read in some of the headphone information that is out there, that there is a "breaking in" period, which has something to do with loosening the tranducer. In any event, I'd have to give these JBuds another star.
My only complaint about the JBuds is that sleeping with them at night I will sometimes wake up and the bud will have fallen off. I can't secure the buds to my satisfaction; however, the JBuds are so comfortable I deal with this problem.
The sound is not quite as good as the slightly more expensive V-Moda; however, the JBuds are easier on my ears for long-term (I sleep with them on) listening.

Awesome headphones. I love these guys and have been using them for about 6 months now. Their sound is impeccable, and are extremely comfortable, I wear them while studying I mean like 8-10 hours a day, and never really notice them. I wouldn't say that these are actually noise cancelling via electrical interference, its more via sound muffling than anything, but don't misinterpret, with the sound at a medium volume you will kill all but the loudest ambient noise. I highly recommend these. Flat out the best $20 I have EVER spent.
